These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dark Screen website, Chrome extension, and related services (“Service”) operated by Dark Screen (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Accounts and Subscriptions

  • Free use: Basic dark mode in the Chrome extension works without an account.
  • Accounts: Creating an account requires a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • Paid plans: Subscription features (cloud backup, sync, dashboard editing) require an active paid subscription. Prices and features are listed on our Pricing page.
  • Payments: Paid subscriptions are processed by Robokassa (cards and standard methods) and CryptoCloud (cryptocurrency). Robokassa public offer: oferta_5503115840.docx. Payment terms are also subject to those providers' policies.
  • Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on paid subscriptions. Contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the extension except as permitted by law
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written consent
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
  • Use automated means to scrape or overload our website or API

4. Chrome Extension

The Dark Screen extension applies CSS-based dark mode to websites you visit. It does not read or transmit page content or full browsing history. Extension behavior is described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the terms of websites you visit.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the website, extension, branding, and documentation, is owned by Dark Screen and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension and website for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every website.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dark Screen and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars (USD $50), whichever is greater.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through the dashboard or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use paid features ends; provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, intellectual property, governing law) remain in effect.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. For registered users, we may also notify you by email.
